Devon

Opening the curtains of the little rental cottage, the first thing that captures you eye is the sea. Hidden by our night time arrival, the view makes me catch my breath; the melancholy blue grey pallette, flecked with the flashes of white from the wave tops. The open window lets in its distinct salty tang and freshness, filling the lungs with a deep breath and instatly prompting shoulder’s to drop as unseen tensions and stresses release. There is nothing that says ‘holiday’ to my family and I than the sight of the sea.
